EHCP Help & Support for Parents in the UK
If you’re looking for help with an EHCP, you’re not alone.
Many parents feel overwhelmed by the process, unsure what should be included, or worried that their child’s needs aren’t being properly recognised.
I support parents and carers with EHCP reviews, EHC needs assessments, annual reviews and SEND support, helping you understand your options and take clear, practical next steps. My support is grounded in experience across healthcare, education and SEND processes, alongside ongoing training in SEND law.
I provide EHCP help for parents across England, supporting you at every stage of the process.
What is EHCP Help?
EHCP help refers to support for parents navigating the Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) process. This can include help with requesting an EHC needs assessment, reviewing an EHCP, or challenging decisions made by the Local Authority.
When do you need help with an EHCP?
Your child’s needs are not being recognised
You’ve been refused an EHC needs assessment
Your child’s EHCP is unclear or not being followed
You don’t know how to challenge a decision
The process feels overwhelming or confusing
How can I help?
I provide EHCP help for parents across England, including:
You Might Be Here Because…
Your child’s EHCP doesn’t reflect their needs
The wording in the plan is vague or unclear
School says support is in place, but it doesn’t feel right
You’ve been told needs can be met without an EHCP
You’re preparing for an annual review and don’t know what to say
You feel overwhelmed and don’t know where to start
If any of this sounds familiar, you’re in the right place.
EHCP Reviews & Annual Reviews: Getting the Right Support in Place
EHCPs must be reviewed at least once every 12 months to ensure they remain accurate, up to date, and continue to reflect your child’s needs and the support required.
An annual review is not just a formality — it is a key opportunity to ensure your child is receiving the right support and that the plan is working effectively.
An annual review allows you to:
Update and evidence your child’s needs
Ensure provision is specific, appropriate, and being delivered
Highlight what is and isn’t working in practice
Request changes to provision, outcomes, or placement
Preparing properly for an annual review can make a significant difference to the outcome, particularly where changes to support or provision are needed.
Many parents choose to seek support at this stage to ensure their child’s needs are clearly evidenced and any requested changes are robust and well-presented.
What Should an EHCP Include?
An Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) should clearly set out:
Your child’s needs (Section B)
The outcomes they are working towards (Section E)
The provision required to meet those needs (Section F)
For an EHCP to be effective, the provision in Section F must be specific, detailed and quantified.
Vague wording such as “access to support” or “opportunities for intervention” does not ensure support is delivered consistently.
EHC Needs Assessment Support
If your child does not yet have an EHCP, you can request an EHC needs assessment.
Parents and carers have the legal right to make this request directly to their local authority.
Putting forward a clear, evidence-based request can significantly improve the likelihood of a positive outcome.
I support parents of children with a wide range of needs, including autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences and learning difficulties.

Alongside EHCP-specific support, I also offer general SEND guidance to help you:
